And in the end, it seems like Biden won United Virginia by slightly more than 2 percentage points. Both parts swung Democratic.

OK, maybe not quite. It still voted overwhelmingly for Trump. But I AM at least vindicated in saying it wouldn't go 70%+ for him as many here thought, and did indeed trend against him, however slightly. As did Kentucky, for that matter. Again, not as much as I would have liked or hoped to see, but better than nothing. And my county, Fayette? Well at about 60% Biden, I could not be prouder of a county that voted for Bush twice, barely voted for Obama and Clinton, and hadn't voted for any candidate of either party so much since Reagan in 1984. And is now officially the most Democratic county in Kentucky. There are few bright spots in my state this year, admittedly. But that sure as hell is one of them.
(And by the way, for the ultimate "United Virginia," you gotta include KY as well as that too once used to be part of VA.)
