But if the fascists, nazis, and Fidesz all get spit out of Parliament, who will even be the third partner in Smer+Hlas? (if you dan't tell, I find this election night highly addictive)

46% of the precincts have reported and SaS is now back in!

The nazis are out, good riddance. I suppose one of the surprises of tonight is the fact that the Hungarian parties have shown a bit of life. I mean even if they don't make it, they will still have come rather close. Oh and OLANO seems to have found itself a new stronghold, what is up in Kezmarok?

So it's basically going to be the dreadful Smer-Hlas-SNS or, as a longshot if Pellegrini doesn't want to work with Fico, the unwieldy PS-Hlas-SaS-KDH?

Any new information/theories as to why SNS is in and Republika is out? And OLANO also won in...Kosice's surroundings lol.

Pellegrino must endorse Fico and be a patriot!
In Romanian there's a derogatory nickname for politicians: "patrihot", a combination between "patriot" and "hot"=thief. I feel this is very appropriate here.

Honestly, the "good" news is that Fico doesn't hold any great belief in anything other than Fico and the enrichment of himself and his inner circle. He just seems to have (correctly) calculated that being a Russian asskisser was the best way back to power. He can just as easily, erm, recalculate his opinions.

Did they, erm, use other ways of persuading the Romani community too?

How did SNS screw this up so badly lol. Does this make a split in the parliamentary group likely and, in turn, the only possible Smer government (Smer-Hlas-SNS) less likely?

I'm going to guess Matovic is pretty happy with the result. He probably enjoys being in opposition and shouting against the mafiots/Sorosists more than he ever did being PM.

Would any of the 4 "SNS"es pose a particular issue for the looming Fico regime or are they eager to hand out their support?

Also I love streetviewing random places! I'm gonna guess OLANO's best result was in a Roma ghetto, and KDH's in an isolated Catholic mountain village?

Where exactly is PS's, erm, self-interest in bending over backwards so much for Smer-2? Do they want to be in government so badly or just making sure they aren't blamed for Fico's return?

It is almost amazing that anything else was expected from Fico's former puppet PM. Wouldn't surprise me if there are certain... "affairs" from their last stint in government that made Pellegrini more receptive to Fico's offer.

Estrella, what do you think will happen to the ragtag group of fascists, also known as the SNS, now? Will they get posts in government or even stick together?

Maybe, as Storr suggested, Pellegrini wants to be President and doesn't particularly care what will happen to his party afterward. I see no reason why most of those people can't leave Smer-2 and go back to Smer.

I think the party the Minister is from will have priority over corruption schemes in the respective fields.

681.017 people voted for this. It is beyond me how anyone would deem it appropriate to be led by such a creature.

They must really hate being in Parliament lmao. Now that they got back in despite their best efforts, they want to make sure next time they will be out for good.

Wasn't Tabak in OLANO, starting fights with the other SaS lady? Or am I confused?

What happens when Taraba, Huliak,  and Simkovicova become ministers? Do they stay MP or no?

They don’t, they get replaced by the next person on the list, but if they resign the replacement loses their seat and they can come back.
Would their replacements actually be members of Danko's SNS?

What do you think the chances Slovakia has for another good President following the next elections?

Thanks! On a related note, is Caputova's retirement clearly just for personal reasons, or is it that she might be aiming to run for something else in the future, like, say, Prime Minister?

So she's not likely to take over PS and run against Fico in the next election. Would have been interesting.

Seeing as you mentioned the backlash from 2020 against Fico and Smer, do you think that he would have won in a direct election against Simecka or many of the Hlas/SNS/Republika votes weren't actually supportive of him?

On a scale from "united in spirit behind the Fuhrer" to "everyone claims to be the Fuhrer", how is SNS holding together? Any talk of splits so far from the ragtag crew of random fascists elected on their list?
