He has criticized Trump from [populist] left, too. For instance, he has repeatedly praised some of Warren's (and Sanders'?) policies.

To me, Tucker has always been more Trumpian than Trump himself. But he shouldn't go anti-vaxx.

So I can't really consider him as a from-the-right challenger. DeSantis is imho much more typical "right" in that sense.
