What ?

If those were the results, what the seat distribution would be. It's not really meaningful in this poll, but it is when parties miss the threshold.

Is it normal than OVP is fourth in Vienna in this poll?

It doesn't seem too strange. I think that most of the bourgeois vote would go to the FPÖ.

LIF: 128
Grüne: 117
KPÖ: 103
SPÖ: 21
ÖVP: -70
FPÖ: -151
BZÖ: -155

My opinion of the LIF just shot up. Honestly, that was the only thing that surprised me.

The FPÖ and BZÖ should run a common list. Fortunately, they're not.

KPÖ 86.9
LIF 81.3
Grüne 78.1
BF 65.7
SPÖ 65.1
ÖVP 57.1
BZÖ 44.3
FPÖ 42.4

Worse test, it seems.

I didn't weight the questions first, but after the second time I also had the KPÖ first ...
Dirty frigging commie. Go wash your hands. Go vote for Jas in Atlasia, and ye shall be forgiven.

No! I needed that vote! Smiley

Because that's where most of the votes swing.

Fair enough. Will there be any SPÖ- ÖVP debates? I assume there are swing voters between the center-left and center-right, though I know they are rare indeed in Germany.

They are stagnating, because the BZÖ is gaining due to Jörg Haider. If they were united (18%+7%), they would fight for 1st place.

Which is very scary.

What are the differences? Is it personality-based?

Just came back from voting.

H.C. Strache of the FPÖ looks like someone gave him a blow-job while voting:

LOL.

Is an SPÖ-ÖVP-Grüne coalition feasible?

Looks like another Grand Coalition is the only workable solution.

And this is the reason I don't like proportional representation.

Under a FPTP system, we'd probably have 35% SPÖ, 30% ÖVP, 25% FPÖ, and 10% BZÖ.

Give whom? You'd still have the Grand Coalition.

Does the ÖVP want such a thing?

With 72.5% counted (and most of what`s out being Vienna), if I'm reading this right they're projecting Greens just ahead of BZÖ now. Oh, and a theoretical SPÖ-FPÖ majority.

SPÖ-FPÖ? Is that even possible?

92 needed for a majority. Total possible coalitions:

SPÖ-ÖVP (likely)
SPÖ-FPÖ (possible)
SPÖ-BZÖ-Grünen (very unlikely)
ÖVP-FPÖ-BZÖ (impossible)
ÖVP-FPÖ-Grünen (very unlikely)
ÖVP-BZÖ-Grünen (very unlikely)

Chancellor Faymann, it seems.

With that map, I'm glad the FPÖ and BZÖ are hopelessly divided. but you need to relabel it to "Parties of the Right" and "Parties of the Left".

29% of the Austrian population is terminally stupid.

Haider himself was the biggest thing standing in the way of unification, no?

And this makes an ÖVP-FPÖ-BZÖ coalition far more likely, methinks. The ÖVP no longer has any incentive to form a coalition. We likely won't see a government until next year.
