I guess it is finally time to let the cat out of the bag........my name is.......

Scott!

You should've let us keep thinking your name was Hannibal.  Mighty fine name, that is.

BTW, I'm named Publius Cornelius Scipio Africanus.  My parents thought it had a certain ring.

I envy you. I'm really Brutus. Sad

Cool!  It's irritatingly common, but I've never known a mom with that name!

Rin-chan

It's also my cousin's daughter's name as well.

Damn!!  Another one!?  Did you know that I was one of 5 Laurens in my Spanish I class?  Ugh!!  "Lauren, pair up with Lauren."  "Which one with which one?  YOU HAVE TO SPECIFY!!"

lol

Rin-chan

Really? I've only known two Laurens. But my Spanish teacher said that last year she had 4 Alexanders in one class, two of whom were surnamed Lin.

I can believe that.  My english class has 4 Bens, my geography class has 2 Andrews, 3 Maddies, and 2 Bens.

Ouch. There's only one other Naveed in my school, and he's in special ed.

That's crazy.  I've known a lot of Alexanders, too.  But all through elementary school I was Lauren D.  There was always another Lauren in my class.  ALWAYS.  UGH!!  I've complained to my parents about this and they always say, "Well, we thought we were being original when we picked it. We didn't know very many Laurens when we grew up.  Sorry, sweetie!"

Oh, well...  Can't do much about that now...

Rin-chan

mine is Annya Alexendrovna.
Today it is annie. What can I say russian is complicated.

Is your father named Alexendrov?

Yup it is.

Really? It should be Aleksandr.

But I've never heard the name "Annya" before. Alexandrovna is probably the most common feminine patronymic in Russia.

Get a JD or LLB from an ABA accredited university (or one thats been provisionally accredited), then pass the bar in your particular state (unless your state allows otherwise.  Ie Wisconsin will let you join their state bar by having a law degree from either UW Madison or I believe Marquette.  NY still has an arcane rule that you can go one year at [NY?] law school and take the NY bar).  Of course while I dont believe its a state bar requirement you're going to need a 4 year college degree to gain admission to an ABA law school.

I know how to be a lawyer. But how does one become a laywer?

My apologies, but I fail to see the difference in the two questions.  Could you explain what you mean?

Law is fine and all, but I want to practice lay by becoming a laywer.

Maxime. For English speakers, don't pronounce the ''e''. It is pronounced like the waste of paper with person with women not very clothed.

Very common in Quebec, even too much.

Do you eat babies like Maxime Bernier?

You do realize that if you ever visited Minnesota, people would call you Jammy or some other ridiculous incorrect pronunciation that doesn't even sound conventional.
I do know. Very seldom does a white person get it even after I correct them, and never the first time reading it off of a list or something.

Really? Don't you, like, live in South Florida?

And this is my name written in Arabic:

كرزيستوف

Interesting. I would spell your name thus:

كــشــشـضف

Using my method of Arabic transliteration, the former is Krzístúf, and the latter is Kshishtyaf.

Well, my version was approved by my Arabic professor, who's Syrian

Interesting. I don't know how you would pronounce that.

Yes, I know how it's pronounced in Polish.

I don't know how to put it in English

What I'm saying is that there's no way to put "K", "R", and "Z" together and make anything that can be pronounced. "Krz" can be pronounced in Polish, but that is because "rz" is a digraph, which has no Arabic equivalent.
