Today I saw regular at 3.88$. Diesel is floating at about 4.70/gal.

Has anyone else here been losing gas mileage due to the addition of Ethanol? That stuff sucks bad.

Addition? Ethanol's been in gas as long as I can remember.

They've been doing it more recently around here.

Well, here in California, they add all sorts of stuff to the gas. That's why it's about 30 cents more expensive. At Lake Tahoe, all the gas stations are on the Nevada side.

I frequently go out to Daly City or South San Francisco to buy gas. Prices are virtually the same there.

Yup. Northern San Mateo County's the same way. I wonder why.

I think that was this past friday.

Full serve? I've never actually seen that.

Consider the state...

Well, I guess they asked for it, then.

Oregon, too. And therefore you can find full-serve in all of the states around NJ.

Really? Of course, it's been a long time since I went to Oregon, but I wasn't aware of that. As I'm sure you know, we don't have any out here.

It's not a ed up law. It supposedly an insurance risk and keeps gas prices low. I consider it a luxury and convenience. Are you actually saying that you enjoy getting out of your car and pumping your own gas? That seems very delightful.
Well, I'm not afraid to dirty my hands with a gas pump. And even if you like being waited upon, that's no reason to make it compulsory.

And Fezzy's right about NJ schools.

Yes, NJ schools have highest in the nation graduation rates and students who go on to college. Best in the nation.

As for the gas, I just wouldnt have had a strong reaction as you. I might have gone with "well that's interesting" and I never would have thought someone would prefer to pump their own gas.

NJ is also cited as for the most of the time having the lowest in the nation gas prices and NJ does have the lowest gas tax.

I think it's fine if people don't want to pump their own (there is always an extra price for convenience), but why make it compulsory?

California gas costs a lot, but pollutes comparatively little.

I went to get gas to 7-Eleven tonight (usually get it elsewhere) and as I'm going to pay, the guy tells me that he had a surprise or something. He then told me that I'd be getting gas at $1.95 a gallon. I was the first person to fill up at that price at that location. This is the first time I've seen gas below $2 in PA in years.

You have to talk to a guy to buy gas?
