It's interesting that you would pronounce the surname like that. The proper Russian pronunciation is /t͡sɐrˈnajɪf/. A good anglophone approximation would be /sɚˈnajɪf/. I would try to also include a lusophone pronunciation, but Portuguese phonology is complicated enough that I don't feel comfortable doing that.

It's very, very wrong, to the point that I can't even understand how that pronunciation was arrived at. The sound of дж is really nothing like the sound of й, and that pronunciation would only be correct if the name were Йохар or Ёхар.
