By popular demand:

Is it possible to create a bitching thread and take it somewhere else? Theres like 5 pages of bickering where there shouldnt be.

So, where were we?

How do you possibly get off calling yourself a "leftist"?  Name one left wing viewpoint that you hold.  Even if you can, you are more right than left, and you know it.

I am a little bit of a fiscal conservative, besides that, I don't hold any right wing view points. I favor the preservation of choice, am supportive of gay rights, desire environmental protections for biodiversity, have vehemently opposed taxes that disproportionately affect the poor, desire health care reform, and am a fair trader. I have consistently opposed all religious nutjobs, only believe in cutting taxes during times of necessity (recessions), not just cutting taxes for the sake of cutting taxes. Let's be real, if we just campaign on tax cuts forever, pretty soon there will be no taxes left to cut, and I support a balanced budget mandate for at least 70% of budgets.

Then why are you in the RPP?

Yeah to be fair, you sound a lot closer to the DA than the RPP.

The DA would be more than happy to welcome him!

To answer Swedish Cheese, Happy Warrior and Hashemite- although I am glad to support and work with the DA, the RPP is where I feel most comfortable at. People like myself and Vepres are welcomed into the RPP not because we are hardcore conservatives, but because we share common values with the party, including regional rights and federalism, and a proactive attitude. And despite all of the hatred DWTL seems to receive, I am proud to have him as Chairman- he has been one of the friendliest and most supportive on this forum. I think it is this kind of "grey area" where the RPP and DA share things in common that allow us to work so well together, and hopefully will be able to continue our relationship and desire for progress in the next Senate.
DWTL?  Friendly lol.  He's friendly til you piss him off once then he is a permanent douche.

To me, he is.

Like I said just wait til you do one thing he does'nt like.

I don't see what that has to do with Scott here.

Why are you such a hack?

LOL. I am probably the one RPP member that disagrees with the party the most.

Cool, thanks. That's why you're issuing countless apologies for him, yes?

I do stick up for my fellow RPPers when they are under unfair and petty personal attacks, regardless of how often I agree with them on policy positions. I also stick-up for non-RPPers under said attacks.

What evidence do you have of the latter? Purple State doesn't count.

The DWTL rule is simple, screw with me I screw with you.  Help me, I help you.  The amount of people who chose the latter are numerous and successful in this game.  Those who chose the former?  They'll find the door soon enough.  In fact, I guess a lot of chances too, HW just chose to an idiot every chance I gave him including running with PiT

As I recall, you screwed with me before I screwed with you. I remember some particularly amusing posts from the RPP forum to that effect.

Your attempted screwing with our party began long before the hacking and as you know from reading it we suspected something fishy long before that was made public.  And seriously how many are there that can't ask me for help in a campaign or something else?  Its like you, HW, and a few crazies

As I recall, it was the demise of the "SDP-RPP coalition" (which was really nothing more than something me and Santiago kicked around one night) that sent you into a frenzy. FWIW, I have some very interesting conversations between me and PiT.

So, this thread was started to allow people to vent at each other?

Yeah, basically.

1.) What is your desire to call PiT by his first name when he doesn't use it on the forum?
2.) I have those conversations too because PiT came clean about it
3.) If it was the demise of the coalition, that sounds like a good reason to hate you

1. I do that every now and then with most people. Nobody's ever complained.
2. No, he came clean about something entirely different.
3. Hate me because I didn't have enough power over my party to force something that would obviously fail?

Wow, this thread definitely should be kept open.

Roll Eyes

Better here than on every thread.

Why is my name floating around? I voted for Georges Marchais, that is all.

Good man.

Oh well. I'm moving this hear because I'm not a JCP member.

Just another suggestion, but maybe the Progressive Liberal Party (PLP)? I've always considered it bad to have a RL party name in your parties name. Like, if the RPP became the National Republic Party, I'm sure we'd alienate some independants, and they would go to the DA instead.
And also, because we only need one major party with "Democratic" in it. Wink

We had that years ago.  I was a member, Vice Chair, and it's first elected official.  The good old days Smiley

Not years ago yet, it only collapsed in June (?) 2008. Fun times. Smiley

I actually wasn't think of Lief at all, I was thinking of MaxQue and Marokai and seem to be dominating party discussion.  What has MaxQue honestly ever done other than try to run for Xahar as fast as he could after defending him to the death?  Moved from talking head of one party to talking head of another.  I don't understand who someone can change their allegiance so fast.  One day you are fighting everything about the JCP, and the next day you rally behind it

I'm inclined to agree with this, actually. When confronted with two camps of zombies, I'll be more friendly to the one I'm ideologically closer with, but they're still zombies.
