It should NOT be given full statehood, but it shuold have a voting member in the House.  This would be a nice compromise.

that's not a choice though.  . .

Why is that not a choice? It is the deserving compromise. I had to write up 3 constitutional amendments for civics, and I wrote up an amendment to include that, I think it is fair and that is what DC deserves.
