Doesn't sound much like news to me. Through endless recounts, constantly contested results, and an always disappointing end for democracy, I've noticed more than a few disturbing trends. Not the least of which is an apparent neglect to actually count votes in most places. Elections in the US are mostly for show at this point, especially on a national scale. As long as the results seem likely, nobody really seems to care how we got there, despite ongoing reports election after election of democracy slowly fading from our voting booths.

It is interesting that people really only seem to care about any problems (and most US states have lots of them) with elections if it has any chance of changing the winner.

The US badly needs a Central Residence Registry (CRR), that tracks every move of a person in and out of a city or those persons pay a hefty fine if they don't

What?

He's right.

Of course it won't happen. It's too sensible.

The way IDs are currently handled, yes. It would be a problem.

That would be a very reasonable solution, comparable to most modern democracies.

'Coincidentally', PA's voter ID laws didn't accept state-issued welfare cards as proof of idetity at the polls.

I'm sure that was an honest mistake when drafting the law.

MJ's intellectual dishonesty has reached comical levels.

It's not a new development.

If it makes you feel any better I have never even had a shred of respect for Antonio and completely lost it for Franzl a long time ago. So congrats! Smiley

I'm sure I'll lie awake at night for the next week wondering where I went wrong.

MJ, I don't think you get to defend a certain actual policy by bringing up fantasy policies that don't exist. That's not how arguing works.

Guess we shouldn't blame MJ alone. That type of debate seems to be mandated by the GOP platform.
