I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with that statement, winning is only a positive side effect of good game play. The process itself is what's fun.

Wouldn't it be more fun if we just stayed friendly and ran our campaigns without this contant arguing?

Andrew isn't a turncoat.  The DA allows our members discretion.  If he wants to run with MJ then that is his perogative.
Even when he's running against the DA's own candidate?? (Franzl)

Please don't bring me into this Smiley

Everyone is, of course, free to run for whatever ticket they wish. I do wish the party had had some advance notice, but I, of course, respect Andrew's decision to do as he sees fit, and best of luck to him.

You assume that debate did not occur, we debated the issue heavily on the private forum before coming to a consensus.  However, it is easy to see this is a ploy to give the JCP extra senate seats.  You can scream all you guys want that this is opposing regions, but there is nothing more anti-regional than allowing a vote to overturn regional senate seats.  We will never allow this up/down vote to occur because once in a bluemoon the fluke will occur and the seat will be lost (see the election of Torie in the Pacific or Xahar in the Dirty South)

No, man, Atlasia sucked when I was gone. There was a reason I kept making and blowing up plots. Seeing the reaction people had was much more fun than the alternative.

Not refering to your absence as the reason I enjoyed it more, but the presence of so many trolls that couldn't care less about actually having fun but merely seeking power disturbs me, and does indeed make me dread even reading any relatively long thread simply because I'm sick of the bitchfest between the ARC and everyone else.

It was Marokai and DWTL who started the fire. The ARC have merely defended themselves since.

You see, it's exactly this that has turned me so sour. I don't f**king care who's at fault and who is defending themselves from whom. I DO NOT CARE.

All I know is it's getting really old really fast.

If you want my personal opinion, I think the article is objectively correct...but that's beside the point. It seems like almost every topic turns into back-and-forth bitching. I'm not going to accuse anyone of starting them, but I do have the impression that the Atlasian political climate has gotten a lot worse since this has started.

Make of that what you will.

If the trolls were imaginary, Mint wouldn't have 20+ votes. (No offense to Mint intended)

If you can't spot a lot of zombies among these voters, you are delusional.

And no, I am not claiming everyone that voted for Mint is a zombie....so please don't single or two out and use that as an argument against blatant facts.

Very few of those people (if any) were recruited for the sole purpose of dominating Atlasian elections. Many are even former officeholders.

He said "in the last six months." And have they done anything? I think that your failure to provide an accomodating answer is evidence enough that you don't care about whatever zombies really are, you just want to see the ARC finished off. Well, good luck, because we aren't going anywhere.

And you have recruited an army of zombies that don't have any interest in contributing to the game just to push up your vote totals.

Is it legal? Yes. (Or at least until we get a good HAEV to stop this madness.)
Does it lower the quality of the game? Hell yes.

These posters HAVE contributed in the past. I see no indication that your people are going to start.

Tell me, when will azmagic and rebellibertarian (or whatever the person is called) participate in a policy discussion?

I don't oppose the ARC per se....I commend posters such as Einzige that have shown genuine interest and have really made an effort to take part in debate, hence my first preference for Einzige in the Assembly election.

I do get the feeling that talking with a lot of ARC people is more strenuous, to quote Barney Frank, than trying to hold a conversation with a dining room table. All their arguments are based on the premise that they have somehow been wronged and they merely seek to defend themselves from oppression.

and Xahar isn't stupid enough to fall in this trap, and I'm hopeful he will soon understand Hamilton's real intents.

Xahar knows precisely what he is doing.
