I just visited Guatemala - it's an incredibly beautiful country with wonderful people

I'd venture to guess that a good part of Central America is like that, but the region gets a bad rap.

Yea - they're getting their act together though, especially Guatemala. Since the Civil War ended in 1996 they've had very democratic elections with relatively very little turmoil. People really enjoy the democracy down there
