Bloomberg, Warren and Gabbard will fight and die on their hills today. This will make certain that anybody other than Sanders or Biden will have essentially zero chance of winning a plurality of delegates.

Bernie supporters and Biden supporters: please be nice to one another. We all need each other to beat the fascist prick in the White House.

Thanks! Smiley
This post is hippie nonsense.

As long as all the different libs are going to show up in November to vote for the Dem candidate to defeat Trump, and not stay home, the Bernie socialist libs and the moderate libs SHOULD be at each other's throats. They are enemies and they want totally different things for this country.

You have no clue what ur talking about
The socialists want free healthcare, free college, trillions in government spending on wind and solar energy, and taxing millionaires so high that they'll all move away to different countries. The moderates want pre-Trump America. Those are two VERY different visions for America.

Hi, blue avatar!

Just because there are competing visions doesn’t mean we have to be at each other’s throats.

Those visions are closer to one another than either is to the nationalist, corporatist, and xenophobic vision that the president has for the country.

I look forward to uniting in November and defeating him.
So... why not join together to defeat Republicans at important times (like presidential elections such as this November), but when those stakes are low,  attack each other? The socialists want an END to moderate America. The moderates want to prevent socialist America from EVER happening EVER. Each sides' hopes and dreams and sense of progress is under DIRECT attack. There's no need to hold hands and sing campfire songs.

Next time they hold a Sanders rally in your district, DON'T go to it.

I was ready compromise and get behind Biden, but seeing all this "haha suck it Bernie Bros you're all losers" is convincing me more and more that there is no room for progressives in the Democratic Party.

There literally hasn’t been that much of that at all? And anyone who IS doing that is an idiot. I’m a Biden supporter who supported Bernie in 2016. I was crushed when he lost. I enthusiastically supported Hillary and my views have changed a bit, but I would never make fun of someone who’s candidate isn’t doing well. People poured their hearts into Bernie and I know how that feels. It sucks

Illini Moderate, we got another one
Lol. I was mocking Biden voters for being over-confident and counting their eggs before they hatch, but I knew that would only be apparent to a few posters.

For those of you who don't think Biden represents where the Democratic Party is right now, and he's from a different time, etc.  Think of it this way.  Trump is a huge problem.  We need to get rid of him immediately.  Biden is a temporary solution.  There is a lot of time for a next generation to take the reigns but right now we need Trump gone before he does more damage.

Yea... we tried that last time.  It didn't work out too well.

We're doing it our way this time.

So you're giving us 4 more years of Trump. Got it.

No.  You are.  We told you this like 80 million times already.  Yet the bosses still went nuclear.

So now we run the risk of going into the general with a completely uninspiring candidate whose liabilities are way beyond being labeled a "socialist."

It's not f**king rocket science.  Trump won in 2016 because people wanted to show up to vote for him in 2016.  If the GOP pulled the same sh**t that the Dems (read: Obama) just did, Hillary would have likely won the general because she'd have been facing Ted freaking Cruz or some bland ghoul.

If you were seriously expecting the Sanders people to not be completely turned off by pulling this sh**t, you're either out of your mind or out of touch.

I wonder how you feel about Biden's overwhelming landslide victory in your home state, where he got 63% of the vote. Sanders lost Alabama by 46 percentage points, as of last count. Obviously, your fellow Alabamian primary voters have a very different view of Biden.
Nobody takes Alabama seriously.

This weekend will be the weekend we all look back on as the moment that the Democrats tried to cuck Bernie Sanders but instead cucked themselves. Trump will tweet-brag about how this all went down at some point between November and February, some time between election night and the first stretch of his second term.

Sincere message to Depressed Berniebros:

While I do think it's important to recognize that Biden is probably going to be the nominee after tonight.  I don't think you should take this as a rejection of your policies.  This was more a rejection of Trump in that primary voters voted pragmatically.
Bernie s the more pragmatic choice though, NOT Biden. That's why the Betnie Bros are so triggered.

I'm personally overjoyed. Trump's re-election got a HUGE boost with Sanders getting shivved like this.

While I do think it's important to recognize that Biden is probably going to be the nominee after tonight.  I don't think you should take this as a rejection of your policies.  This was more a rejection of Trump in that primary voters voted pragmatically.  Additionally, Trump has gone after Biden non-stop because he doesn't want to run against him.  This was in some ways Democratic voters giving the middle finger to Trump.  While I think some of Bernie's proposals are ridiculous, most of his stands on e.g., the environment, civil rights, workers rights, etc. are well within the mainstream of democratic thinking.  We need to get rid of Trump so we can appoint judges who share those values.  This is the most corrupt administration in recent memory.  They need to go.  Biden will make that happen.  There is room to move further to the left in subsequent elections.

Trump has gone after Biden nonstop because he knows that he (and his owners in the Kremlin) have already cooked up exactly the right bulls**t story he needs to beat Biden, just like they did with Clinton. The election is over.

OK whatever.  I realize ur upset but this doom and gloom in every thread isn't productive.
First Amendment.

Also, the sky IS falling in lib-world, though many can't see it. Trump essentially won re-election tonight.

Nah, I recognize that Bernie still has a decent shot at this. Absolutely.
Absolutely not. Unless Sanders gets a MASSIVE lead on Biden (which is now impossible after tonight), they will screw him at the convention. It's over.
