The freedoms afforded to the Jews under the Rhenish Confederation were never fully rolled back, as they were elsewhere in the post-Bismarckian era.

well you just wrote that napoleon has an impact on the jews in the rhineland until now. sadly this impact was quite harshly interrupted by the nazis.

napoleon is no horrible person, but of course no freedom fighter too.
