Musk considers bringing Alex Jones back for Sandy Hook anniversary

Elon Musk said Thursday that he’d consider letting Alex Jones back onto X, nearly a year after vowing he wouldn’t reverse a ban on the conspiracy theorist best known for claiming that the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting was a hoax.

“Will consider,” Musk said in a Thursday post on X, in response to a user who mentioned the idea of Jones coming back. “In general, since this platform aspires to be the global town square, permanent bans should be extremely rare.”

Musk said that if someone “does say something false on this platform,” the comment will be corrected by the Community Notes feature, “whereas that would not be the case elsewhere.” He then signaled his intent to hold a poll on X about whether Jones should return.

Poll was started today. Sandy Hook was December 14th.

This isn’t just immoral but demented. Like cognitively impaired.

It actually shows how weak it is. A hated billionaire (whose reputation is getting worse by the day) is chatting with a completely irrelevant wash-up, a soon-to-be-imprisoned sex offender, and a Republican polling in the single digits in his primary. People like this are ensuring that whatever their political movement is will never be electable in the United States.

And yet one of them is gunning to be the running mate of someone who is winning the election after losing the last one by millions of votes, is giving rallies dispite being indicted for a capital offense, negligently killed millions of people, and almost overthrew the government when he lost.

I’ll just stfu now and everyone else should too. This situation is like being in the mountains and being within a few yards of a grizzly.

App That Creates Fake Nudes For Blackmail Allowed to Advertise on X

An app called DeepNudeAI, which allows users to upload real photos of women and then creates a fake AI generated image of them nude is currently advertising on X, formerly known as Twitter. The service is being promoted by an X user who goes by Марина and the handle @Marina247016199.

The app is part of new series of privacy invasion AI apps called "undressing apps" that create deep-faked nudes. In the new reality of AI, anything from speech to body can be faked in a strikingly realistic way, capable of fooling everyone but the most savvy or trained eyes.

Undressing apps allow users to customize the nude they receive, including changing the age of the victim in the image to make them look underaged.

These reports come and paint a picture of the average XChan user smelling like fish and having semen stained sweatpants. Are they actual people from the anti-marijuana propaganda in Fear and Loathing?

Not sure if this is completely relevant to this thread, but apparently Musk has been dappling further and further into far-right conversations on Twitter, regularly commenting on accounts of white supremacists and such. He recently championed the D.E.I. is making planes crash conspiracy.

Crazy how relatively fast Musk went from a lefty to disaffected to right wing conspiracy theorist.

It was kind of like Trump tbh. He comes from a racist and elite background but decided to go public as a liberal or at least as a “radical centrist”. As soon as something that reignites their upbringing happens (Covid quarantine / Obama’s nomination and election) they become reactionary.

What dabbling? Musk has gone mask-off anti-Semite and anti-Black racist. He's co-signed Jewish conspiracies and race IQ nonsense. He also made Cis a "hate word" and is banning progressive accounts with no reasoning but letting neo-Nazis back on the platform on the grounds of "free speech".

In a way, its worse than 4chan.
