There is a problem with the name of the pollster.

The poll was commissioned by the Texas Tribune and the University of Texas but it was done by Yougov.

So nothing to do with TX-UT Tyler.

April 16-22, 1200 RV, MoE: 2.8%

Approvals/favorabilities
Joe Biden: 44/46 (-2)
Greg Abbott: 43/45 (-2)
Dan Patrick: 35/39 (-4)
Dade Phelan: 20/22 (-2)
Ken Paxton: 32/36 (-4)
Ted Cruz: 43/48 (-5)
John Cornyn: 31/43 (-12)

Poll
Crosstabs

Shocking that Cornyn is doing worse than Cruz. Is there a particular reason for this?

It is a pretty usual pattern, Cornyn, contrary to Cruz has always had a big problem with the most right wing faction on the GOP (see how they tried to primary him in 2014 with Stockman), they don't like him but in a general election when the choice is between him and democrat they will go for him.
