2 (ever heard of the placebo effect?),
3 (why wouldn't he?),
5 (strong live, weak die, simple concept),
6 (it's always supposed to be an event in the future, no one is supposed to expect the Second Coming, which is why the "these are the End Times" folks turn me off),
and 8 (especially the self-fulfilling kind that our politicians practice!)

2 (ever heard of the placebo effect?),

The wording ("directly") is intended to specifically exclude the placebo effect.

That's your interpretation. Sugar pills don't directly fix sickness, but they still do the trick for some people. It's mental. And prayer is a mental thing. If you believe you'll be healed, you could be.
