Read a story on Bookwalter. He went to the Boone County Republican chair to get clearance to run which is what you have to do if you hadn't voted in 2 consecutive primaries. The county chair did not dispute his party bona fides upon production of 12 years' worth of evidence, but told him he should run for another office and does not understand why he would want to run against Baird in the primary, thereby refusing to sign for him.
