Youngkin doesn't get to make cabinet appointments. Those are made by the President.

I think I know that, the point is the next time a GOP president wins he should be the secretary of education. Note I didn't say 2024, just the next winner.

Yeah Kentucky 2019 was about Bevin being an idiot, and the Lousiana Governor election was just JBE being a good incumbent. The entire ticket is winning here.

If Democrats stole 2020, why didn’t they steal 2021?

No one here but Woodbury  believes that they stole 2020.

Does T-Mac still have a slight chance? CA-21 2018 was initially called for Valadao but Cox narrowly ended up winning.

CA-21 was a race everyone had as Likely R and was just forgotten. This is the premier race of the night.

It was always crazy for half the posters to predict a McAuliffe margin 5+ points to the left of the polls with literally no evidence to support that. Like the polls showed a Youngkin win, the environment was bad for Democrats, enthusiasm was seemingly on the GOP side, but people were still predicting McAuliffe +5 or more.

To be fair all the same could be said for Trump in 2020 as well and yet still plenty of blue avatars here were delusional about his chances. Hell, even some green and red avatars were dooming based on zero evidence.

Biden won by 0.6 points

Democrats should have Chap Petersen if they wanted to win. He actually understood the pain of closed schools and the over woke racial issues. Not this bs Carrol Foy would have won.

I'll say this - the margin is shrinking in a hurry and there's plenty of overall vote left.  Maybe it's not over after all, and then of course if there's 50-100K absentee votes out, who knows?

This is cope.

To be fair, he's not the be-all end-all. I think Youngkin won too but Wasserman was wrong about the NYC primary. Even though it was an entirely different circumstance he was still wrong.

Did he actually say Ive seen enough?

The black-haired girl to McAuliffe's left looks like she's about to cry.

Wait, NSV is a girl?

Are you trying to make sure you mention NSV on each page of the thread? It's getting a bit weird.

I mean he is on the other 200 pages of the thread.

I think people are overestimating how much CRT impacted this race and underestimating how much schools closures during covid(and republican/democratic messaging on that issue) mattered.

Again based on Youngkin's comments on advanced mathematics it is important to realize CRT when used by the GOP with regards to education policy generally means over wokeness in education.

Virginia 2024 presidential election:

Likely D -> Lean R

Don't be over dramatic you clown.

But anyway I told yall so.

but.. yea the HoD flips back next year on redistricting alone lol

How bad is the current HoD map for Democrats?

Neutralish in Hampton and Richmond area.
Rs got 2 gerrymandered seats in Blacksburg and Albemarle .

Dems probably got 2 seats due to R dummymander in NOVA

Seems like Rs did have a turnout advantage at least relatively.
