IMO, these runoffs will be an interesting test of partisanship vs negative partisanship. Democrats are showing to vote FOR a Biden presidency whereas Republicans are showing up to vote against a Biden presidency.

You could argue that most Democrats are voting *against* Mitch McConnell at this point.

We may not have the exact numbers but it will be blatantly obvious to everyone if 1 million people did not show up to vote today.

you dont have be a math wiz in order to notice that so far turnout is not anyhing like it was during the November presidential election and if that does not change over the next few hours than the GOP is in big trouble.....

Hey roxas! You're totally right, and you're also one of my favorite lefties on this forum! Would you like to get an avatar like all of us? I remember you saying you're from Louisiana (great state imo). We don't have many Louisiana avatars on here, and I think people would pay more attention to your great posts if you had an avatar. It's super easy to make, you just go to "profile" then to "Forum Profile Information" and select your political party and state.

ok so I have finally gotten around to adding the silly avatar I hope everyone is happy now

No.

Per NYT needle the Fulton drop was expected to be D+55 and it was won D+59.

It’s possible I’m reading too much into this, but both Dems seem to be hitting their benchmarks and both Republicans underperforming theirs...

Maybe CNN's totals are out of sync but Warnock is running 1% ahead of Ossoff. Warnock/Perdue is a possibility with that kind of gap.

They’re probably out of sync — NYT has a much smaller .2% gap.

Gotta hand it to polls this time. They’re probably going to be close.

I’m glad Stacey Abrams didn’t get the VP pick, because she was clearly destined for greater things.

can we all appreciate the stupidity of Kemp appointing Loeffler for just a second?

Republican governors don’t seem to get that appointing unpopular politicians isn’t going to make said politicians any more popular.

As a side note: I don’t understand why Feinstein hasn’t retired yet. She’s going to be a mess as Judiciary Committee chair. (That said, there are some other ranking members to be excited about.)

She announced in late November that she was stepping down as judiciary chair.

Oh right, whoops. I assume Durbin will be chair, then?
