How liberal is Steve Poizner exactly? I know he is a very liberal Republican but how liberal is he really?

I really don't know. All I can say is that I hope that the libertarian McClintock prevails. I really do not want another Republican if they are going to be as liberal as Schwarzenegger.

Libertarian McClintock?  Really?

What social issues does he fall on the libertarian side of?  He's pro-life, anti-gay marriage, and seems unsupportive of easing restrictions on marijuana.

Schwarzenneger is more "libertarian" than McClintock on all those issues.

Well, McClintock is more fiscally conervative than Schwarzenegger coudl ever wish to be. He was the only Republican who got my vote during the 2006 elections, and was high up on my list during the 2003 recall election, but I eventually settled with Schwarzenegger (who actually know what fiscal restraint meant back then.)

So, okay: McClintock is
(1) fiscally libertarian
(2) socially conservative

Since (1) is a synonym, basically, for "conservative," I think it's safe to say that he's not a libertarian, but a conservative.  You know, on everything.

He is a member of the left-wing, globalsit Council on Foreign Relations.

Left-wing? I don't think any left wing group can have Dick Cheney as a member.

Cheney is probably a lot more moderate than you realize.
