My fault for not declaring that I accepted write-ins But I'm pleased with the results and with the eventual winner. It was a 'competitive' uncompetitive election, if you know what I mean.

It was the most competitive election around, and attracted the highest turnout.

The district includes (by population) about 2/3 of the Midwest, 1/3 of the Mideast, and 1/3 of the Pacific. Midwesterners make up half the district's population.

Or maybe he was trying to say that he was going to abuse his position by serving only the interests of midwesterners.
