A waste for him, maybe - but I don't mind it at all when rich people "waste" money.  That 77 million dollars hired campaign workers, bought ads that employed production people, TV station employees, and it goes on and on from there.
Yes ... that's true of course. Then again, whether this was the most productive way he could've spent the money is another question.

you guys are missing the point...

bloomberg spent the money not because he was fearful of losing, but because he wanted to 'run up the score'.
Exactly ... that's why we considered it pointless.
