EGGHEAD CAME OUT SWINGING

He made a great point about McGovern and Dukakis though.

Because it's definitely still 1972 and 1988.

I'm considering making some popcorn. I don't have much else when it comes to snacks currently.

Pete gives the best opening statement tonight, I have to say.

I have to agree. I don't like how Warren's first words were "Donald Trump".

The mods are losing control of this debate already.
A true American tradition.

Honestly, until right now, I forgot Hickenlooper was on the stage.

I think he did as well.

I have to agree.

Bullock is exactly right, gun violence needs to be looked at as a public health issue (imagine dealing with the NRA similar to how the country dealt with big tobacco).

First impressions

Bullock is the only candidate that I would actually think the country could survive with.  He is great.

Beto is MASSIVLEY improved

Mayor Pete is doing good again.

Warren again just decent, nothing noteworthy.  dodging quesitons

Bernine has done better.

Williamson... wtf

Delaney killed Sanders earlier.
Hickenlooper is still utterly forgettable.

The audience is like the worst group of democratic voters ever.
If it has a lot of Detroiters (actually from the city) we have to remember this is a group of people that elected Kwame Kilpatrick as mayor....twice.

Tim Ryan just said "Nicaragua, Guatemala, and El Salvador" in reference to the Golden Triangle countries when the Golden Triangle countries are Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador.

Bullock now stumbling (and stuttering) on his closing statement.
Strange.
I thought the same thing...weird.

Beto using the I can win Texas despite losing it narrative, is very lame.

Sanders: Full blown assault on Trump plus how to transform this country and the working class of America that has been decimated for 40 Years....

Big Pharma plan.....
He got a loud round of applause once he was done, as well.

Apparently you can use words in a presidential debate that you can't even use on Atlas without being censored.

Also, that "um" from Gillibrand was awkward as f**k.
As our current Secretary of Energy once said: "Oops."

I feel like Biden was trying to say something but all I heard was stuttering and bumbling.

We're still talking about busing? Boo.
If we're going to keep rehashing 70's issues we should bring up airline deregulation, putting lead back in gasoline, and the wonderful (and incredibly safe) machine known as the Ford Pinto.

Bennett just made good points, but it's incredibly hard to take him seriously when he sounds half asleep and drunk.
