For a long time political operative, Bannon seens unaware that Dems always lead the count in Florida while the GOP rises over the course of the night, either overtaking or not hours later.

Trump isn't declaring victory while down in Florida.

I mean, he also predicted a 400 ECV landslide for Trump back in 2017 (or maybe it was 2018).  That would require him flipping states like WA, NY, and MD.

The huge risk of this strategy is that if Trump declares victory on election night with only about 120 EVs called in his favor, he's going to look ridiculous.

Oh, he's doing a great job of that without declaring an early victory.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Hackers have stolen $2.3 million from the Wisconsin Republican Party’s account that was being used to help reelect President Donald Trump in the key battleground state, the party’s chairman told The Associated Press on Thursday.

The party noticed the suspicious activity on Oct. 22 and contacted the FBI on Friday, said Republican Party Chairman Andrew Hitt.

Hitt said the FBI is investigating. FBI spokesman Leonard Peace did not immediately return a message seeking comment.

The attack was discovered less than two weeks before Election Day, as both Trump and Democratic rival Joe Biden made their final push to win Wisconsin and its 10 electoral votes. Trump won the state by fewer than 23,000 votes in 2016 and planned his third visit in seven days on Friday. Biden also planned to campaign in Wisconsin on Friday. Polls have consistently shown a tight race in the state, usually with Biden ahead by single digits and within the margin of error.

Hitt said he was not aware of any other state GOP being targeted for a similar hack, but state parties were warned at the Republican National Convention this summer to be on the lookout for cyber attacks.

Hope the authorities catch up to these folks.

A Republican state senator in North Carolina is doubling down after making comments on social media paraphrasing a retired general who called on President Trump to invoke the rarely-used Insurrection Act and suspend civil liberties such as habeas corpus.

State Sen. Bob Steinburg (R) reportedly called for the president to invoke the act and declare the results of the 2020 election invalid in a Facebook post paraphrasing Air Force lieutenant general Thomas McInerney (ret.), writing: “President Trump must declare a national emergency,” adding that “Trump should also invoke the Insurrection Act.”

So far these calls for martial law/Insurrection Act/military coup have been limited to fringe wingnuts and random R state legislators. But I'm sure these are getting in Trump's ear and who knows what he will try when he gets this idea in his head...

The military isn't going to back Trump.

Thank god the BLM movement is anti-police and not anti-military. But given how self-destructive the left has been, I wouldn't be surprised to see #AllTroopsAreBastards and #DefundTheMilitary start trending on Twitter one of these days.

#DefundTheMilitary is already kind of a thing.  Not saying whether I agree one way or the other, but there's more than a few folks that think this country spends too much too much on the military.
