This is my attempt at a 4/4 Maryland map, likely the most republicans could theoretically get while keeping their seats safe but even then this map is in the R+5-7 range so almost all could possibly flip. Ben Cardin won every district in 2018, albeit narrowly. If republicans somehow took control of the process they should make 3 safe ones (east shore, Annapolis, Panhandle) and 1 swing in the Baltimore suburbs

4 is contiguous, there is a bridge near Berkley, MD it's just how the precincts are.

Has anyone made an 8-0 map?

Just discovered this website a week ago. Making first post!
How is that the Democrats have full control of the redistricting process in Maryland when the State Supreme Court is a Republican majority? Couldn't the court just overturn an extreme 8-0 Democratic Gerrymander and replace it with a balanced 5-2-1 like the liberal state supreme courts did in Florida and Pennsylvania to GOP gerrymanders?

Also, welcome to the forum!

Terrible decision likely influenced by other terrible decisions.

Genuinely surprised they struck this down while the 2010 one stood. It just marginally moved the state left of it

It was never sued.

That’s shocking, it seems the majority of states are getting sued over something this year
