Wait what, why is a job as a security job "abnormal" now?

An overnight security guard job would be perfect for Bushie. In college, I had a work study job as a guard at the dorms. I sat at a desk and went on my laptop the whole day, and all I had to do was make sure the students coming into the dorm swiped their ID cards. At midnight I was replaced by some random guy from a security agency, who sat at the desk and made sure the now drunk students swiped their cards. They worked until 8 am and then another student came to replace them. Many of them were overweight. Some of them barely spoke English. And then Bushie could return home, take a long nap, watch his football, and head back to work again.

Like Al, I don't think enough attention has been given to the fact that Bushie is apparently some sort of Rainman-esque savant???

If Bushie does the part-time Wal-Mart thing, he still has 20 hours a week (+ his free time) to look for a CAD(D) job and, most importantly, study his CAD(D).

Or he could do the fulltime manager thing and finally settle down into a career for himself. Maybe he'll run his own Wal-Mart one day.

Bushie PLEASE listen to Bacon King.

Yes, even back in my hometown of Austin, where Whole Foods was literally invented, it seems that more and more Wal-Marts are springing up, one now just a five minute drive from my house (just a ten minute drive from downtown!), wiping out entire shopping centers, and people seem to do the majority of their shopping there. My girlfriend lives in Chester County, Pennsylvania and they do their groceries at the Wal-Mart five minutes away. More and more, Wal-Marts seem to be the social and economic heart of American communities (unless you're in very densely populated urban centers of course). It wouldn't surprise me if politicians started holding campaign rallies in Wal-Mart parking lots.

Yup, there's a giant Wal-Mart-dominated shopping center on one side of the road, and then you drive a minute or so further and there's some sort of Amish farmer's market/restaurant on the other side.

Are any of the Chesterites good enough people to opt for the Amish place?

We certainly did! We bought a delicious pumpkin cake, as well as an assortment of knick knacks from the thrift shop portion of the farmers market.

Isn't Target just Wal-Mart with warmer lighting, slightly less downscale clothing, and the occasional attached Starbucks?

I think you're under-estimating how much us white folk care about lighting and Starbucks.

I like how Bushie's life before and after being fired is completely the same. Keep on keeping on, old friend.

I wish Bushie would meet with J-Mann, but I know he won't. He'll be too busy playing on his tablet while his family sits around the TV.

I'll definitely take laziness over;

"Mom, Dad, I'm going to leave a bit early to meet with a friend for dinner in Kansas City"

"Oh you most certainly will be doing no such thing, young man!  Sit down and talk to your grandmother about bridge club!"

"Yes, sir."

Guys you have to remember that Bushie isn't even allowed to use the stove at home to boil himself pasta. This exchange wouldn't surprise me.

I agree with Eraserhead. Bushie needs to drop these pie in the sky dreams of becoming a CADman and focus 100% on Wal-Mart assistant managery.

Well that explains a lot.

Bushie's gotta be trolling us. A 32 oz pepsi "to keep hydrated"? No way.

Bushie have you even touched your CAD(D) since you got fired? Maybe focus on that instead of planning which stupid football game you want to watch.

Poor Papa Bushie. Works eighty hours a week, grills the family its food, and now he has to drive all the way to Tulsa and back so that Bushie can check his mail (??). I just hope to God that Mama Bushie is still letting him have his train room.

Bushie probably won't even pick up his CAD software to bring back with him.

I guess Papa Bushie has given Bushie the go ahead to start looking for call center jobs again. Hopefully the writers can finally put this CAD(D) business to rest.

I don't understand why Bushie won't just get a retail job. It seriously can't be that hard to get hired by Target or Best Buy or whatever with the Holiday rush coming up. And he won't have to waste another $200 or his parents' money on some test that he's going to fail.
