Ah, the Emirates Cup. Finally a chance to end our trophy drought. Tongue

Arsenal has been rumored to be in for some great players (Higuain, Julio Cesar, Bender, Fellaini) so hopefully at least a few of those come to fruition.

Is Zlatan leaving? Not sure why PSG would need both.

Some people are talking about a swap but PSG supposedly wants the two of them up front so they'd be a monster attacking team. Both were the leading scoters in their respective leagues last season. I agree that it's overkill.

Well Monaco is getting Falcao so I guess PSG wants to stay a step ahead of them. I wouldn't be surprised if Zlatan goes to some random new team that wants to pay him an obscene salary though (maybe Man City, he hasn't had a chance to become the season's top scorer in the Premier League yet).

Looks like Pep is arrogantly casting off one of the best forwards in the world, Mario Gomez, because he doesn't fit into his precious tiki-taka system. Gomez will now proceed to easily score 20+ goals in Italy this season and probably be league top scorer.

Leonardo is resigning as PSG sporting director. This will drag out the Cavani saga...

Yeah, unfortunately the deal with Napoli fell apart a few weeks ago. He's going to Fiorentina which might mean less playing time for my boy G. Rossi.  Sad  I wanted to see a way for him to get a spot in the World Cup squad! Cry

Maybe they'll play with two strikers? That seems to be pretty common in Italy. Though it depends on how Rossi's recovery is going.

Guardiola continues to ruin Bayern with his unnecessary tinkering. Very sad.

Hopefully Arsenal buys Gustavo. He'd be perfect.

Unfortunately it's becoming pretty obvious we're not buying anyone. Sad

Ugh, Pep, with his incessant and unnecessary tinkering. Why is Lahm, one of the best fullbacks in the world, playing in midfield??

Well, Neuer and Ribery were injured, but the other two questions should be asked. It's pretty obvious that playing a 4-1-4-1 with Thiago as your DM against one of the best counter-attacking teams in the world is a stupid idea.

God we're awful.

Good thing wise old Arsene Wenger thinks we're top quality with great mental strength and don't need to spend any money.

So NBC bought the rights to show the Premier League in the USA (it's been shown on Fox Soccer Channel for the past few years), so for the first time EPL matches are going to be regularly shown on broadcast TV. To advertise this, NBC released this pretty hilarious little promo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KeG_i8CWE8

I don't think Fox Soccer is going to exist anymore. I think they're renaming it Fox Sports. It'll still have the Champions League though, and some other things (the FA Cup?).

Drogba's still terrorizing Arsenal defenses. He's a huge c**nt obviously, but a great, great player.

Looks like Gala wins the Emirates Cup? I don't really understand the scoring system in this thing.

Robben being in 4th doesn't make sense. For most of the season he was second choice to Müller (who is sixth) and only got into the team in like March or April because of Kroos' injury.

Of course the real winner of this thing should be Lahm, but defenders never win these things. Schweinsteiger is the only one on the list who isn't a forward.

Has Frankfurt had to sell a lot of their players? I know Freiburg has, which is unfortunate, and I'm worried that both will crash out of the Europa League because of it.

Berlin is back in the Bundesliga with a 6-1 victory, putting them at the top of the table for the first week (unless someone wins by even more tomorrow). At the very least, Bayern won't be in first place for the entire season this year now, unlike last year.

Looks like we're going to snatch another from Arsenal's grasp: Luis Gustavo's agent says that Napoli is the Brazilian's preferred team.

God I hope not. Gustavo would be perfect for us.

Suarez has told the Uruguayan press he won't be leaving Liverpool.

I think I'm going to cry. What a disaster this summer has been.
