Second of all, people get way too offended by the word c**nt. It's a solid swear word, and Americans should try to use it more often.

It's a joke about how ridiculous the entertainment press is in their treatment of women (see, for example, people constantly attacking Anne Hathaway for being too dramatic or trying too hard, whatever that means). They weren't actually calling the girl a c**nt.

I actually know an Onion employee! He wrote for the satirical news magazine at my university. Maybe he even tweeted that comment, he was known for publishing some pretty hilariously offensive stuff...

You guys should go read a forum posted in by British people or Australians or whatever. There they call everyone a c**nt constantly, the same as calling someone a jerk or a dick (though obviously c**nt rolls off the tongue much more enjoyably than those words). It's only in America that people get their panties in a twist about the word. Very strange.
