This poll is inspired by a recent 538.com article, where Nate Silver pointed out that the second largest source of funds for the anti-gay Yes on 1 campaign in Maine is the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland, Maine, which has donated over $500,000.

You guys don't think the relationship between a you and your church and you and your favorite sports teams (do sports teams actually even donate money to political campaigns? that sounds kind of far-fetched) are radically different? I really don't see them as comparable at all.
