The very efficient and effective Republican attack machine scares voters so much about Obama that they put Cheney in the White House.

They convince voters that Obama is not qualified to handle national security, partly by using footage of Hillary and Bill Clinton making these statements.

Republican ads use footage of Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Obama's minister for 20 years, throughout the campaign, showing his incendiary satements about 911, showing his blatant anti white rhetoric, and downplaying Obama's assertions that he was not aware of these statements until they were broadcast on national television.

Private groups, not the Republican Party, take out ads questioning Obama's commitment to America, showing Obama dressed in Muslim costume, emphasizing Obama's Muslim background on his father's side, and showing footage of Obama not covering his heart with his hand when he sings the national anthem.  These ads are denounced by the Republican Party, nevertheless, they have the desired effect.

Other ads are run by private groups, not the Republican Party, instilling fear in the hearts of white voters, showing Obama's quote about a "typical white person," and intimating that whites will become disadvantaged if there is a black President.  The Republican Party also denounces these ads, but they too have the desired effect.

Cheney promises to not only keep America safe, but promises a new economic stimulus package that will reinvigorate the economy.

Both Rice and Biden play their parts well, and voters like both of them.

In the end, there are too many unanswered questions about Obama, too many doubts have been planted about Obama, and the voters go grudingly with a known quantity, Vice President Dick Cheney, who they don't particularly like, but who they believe is qualified to handle national security issues.
