Biden's basically pouring gasoline on himself. Does he even want to be President at this point?

This is the worst week of his campaign and it's only Wednesday.

He's trying to be Trump. He saw Beto apologize for everything under the sun & go nowhere. He sees that Trump has never apologized for anything in his career (except on behalf of others) and is POTUS, gets rallies of 20,000 people, and raises $25 million in a single day. The fact of the matter is, we live in a society that punishes prosocial behavior and rewards antisocial behavior, so this is what the result is. The only difference is that I think Democrats are more rigid and unforgiving than their counterparts. That'll have no visible cost in the short term, but will end up reducing their coalition in the long run.

If Biden wins Iowa it'll be hard to see how he isn't the nominee. No matter what happens in NH and NV, he'll win SC and build a delegate lead, then it's on to Super Tuesday with legions of Southern delegates to be allocated.

I'd like to see someone more moderate as Warren is too far left for me. But my problem with the moderates is that none of them take a strong stand against elite corruption or economic inequality. Warren and Sanders are the only candidates talking about these issues. A Democrat who can't say they stood up to elite corruption will lose to Trump, as he will be able to paint them as in the pockets of donors. The progressive base would also be too split in that case. The gap between the far left and someone like Biden is just too big. I am hoping Warren can move to the center in the GE, as she's shown flashes of pragmatism at times.

I'm starting to think Biden's strategy is to make so many gaffes that Democrats become convinced he's invincible when he's still pulling at 30% at the end of it all. He lets other candidates fight each other in the activist lane while he just sits back, occasionally throwing out a gaffe here or there.

I still maintain that Biden's strategy is to sit back, make no real waves, and let Buttigieg/Warren/Harris/Sanders/Yang/Gabbard/Klobuchar destroy each other as he holds onto his solid 30%, maybe making a harmless gaffe or old-ageism once in a while to remind everyone he's still teflon. Ironically, the one who has done the most damage to him thus far is John Bolton.

One thing to consider with Biden v. Warren-- Biden has been meticulously scrutinized for every gaffe, every slip-up in logic, while Warren's coverage has been all positive essentially. Despite this dynamic being clear since early summer at least, Biden STILL leads in almost every national poll and does 2-3 better than Warren in GE polling. If Warren actually starts receiving bad coverage, she'll drop like a rock. Biden just hasn't.

Great point, the scrutinization of Warren hasnt really been a thing yet

It hasn't? What about her plan for funding her Medicare-For-All plan?

It just happened--which has caused her to stall in the polls.  And they haven't begun to emphasize her stands on student debt wipeout and then reparations for slavery,

Warren has been relentlessly scrutinized, and not just recently. The media had already left her campaign for dead in the spring. The amnesia is astonishing.

If anyone hasn't been scrutinized it's Bernie. He's been running with no demands to fund his M4All at all because he's taken so little seriously (which is a mistake). And despite just having a heart attack he's been able to get away with not releasing his medical records-- something most other candidates would not get away with.

Since the start of her rise, she simply hasn't.
1+1 simply equals 3.

CNN is doing townhalls again? If they are giving Biden a townhall they should give the other candidates one as well. I'd like to see Warren have a chance to respond to this.
