So I was thinking about how strange it is that a good old boy state (SC) strongly elected and reelected an African American man (Tim Scott) on a statewide level. And I was absolutely amazed by how he manages to win by big numbers.

It's almost as if they care more about shared ideology than racial identity. Maybe you should try that.
