All this means is that if you're a meek, humble guy uninteresting enough such that the best adjective that describes you is "nice", then success is less likely to come to you in this society. I say this as someone who gets called a nice guy. We need to get over ourselves. Whether you're a guy or not, being "nice" has disadvantages as well as advantages.
Edit: And the opposite/alternative to 'nice guy' is not a 'jerk'. It's literally anything other than 'nice'.
