I support impeachment proceedings in order to distract the GOP from their sociopathic agenda, but if I were the 68th vote to remove him in the Senate I would vote against, because I'm even more terrified of a President Pence.

This basically. Pence worries me far more because he isn't prone to the sort of self-inflicted failures that Trump is prone to--and could keep the same agenda but be far more low profile about it, which obviously wouldn't attract as much scrutiny.

No we need to wait until his approval rating is at least under 20% so his cult can be isolated and crushed quickly when they get violent. If he is removed now there will be room for conspiracy theorists to promote revisionism of this abomination. I know this sounds like exaggeration, but impeaching him so soon will make this the next lost cause, or stab in the back, therefore he needs to stay a while longer, until the monstrosity is universally reviled.

His cult will never make up less than a third of the population so this is wholly unrealistic.
