Assuming we have 20/20 hindsight and this isn't one of those "if you lived during and could vote in the 1896 election..." I would have to throw my full support behind William McKinley.

He made this country a true superpower by letting us become a even more industrial nation and led us into the Spanish American War in which we picked up the important territories of the Philippines and Guam.

Plus I was also born on his birthday Cheesy
