Assuming Biden wins in 2020, how many supreme court nominations will he get and speculate as to who they will be. I assume one of Ginsburg or Breyer will retire in the summer of 2021 and expect the other to follow suit in the summer of 2022. I would not be surprised if they both left in 2021, but feel this is unlikely. If Biden sticks to his pledge of nominating a black woman it seems his first pick will be either Ketanji Brown Jackson or Leondra Kruger. Who will his second pick be? I also assume that the nominee will not achieve the traditional 60 votes and will be in the 52-58 vote range assuming the democrats have roughly 50-55 seats. Do you have any thoughts on how long a seat would remain open if the GOP keep the senate?
