Honestly, most Dems I know in Pennsylvania wanted Fetterman to run for Gov, not US Senate, so this wouldn't be a tragedy.    Tongue

I think given who Oz and Mastriano are as canidates, it actually works quite nicely cause Fetterman and Oz are very much opposites and same with Shapiro and Mastriano.

Oh, you're not wrong at all; it worked out just fine in the end.

Gisele is phenomenal at working the room at an event and yet simultaneously making you feel like you are the only person she's there to talk to.  The first time I met her she hugged me and told me she was glad to see younger folks in rural PA standing up.  If I could vote for her instead of John, I would.     xD

So today I got an Oz mailer in my mailbox.  Addressed to me, a young, queer Democrat active in his local party, who just switched party registration to Dem in 2019.  And not addressed to my roommate, an actual Republican who votes just as regularly as I do, and who is not planning to vote for the Jersey TV doctor in November.

As a data analyst/Field Director for political campaigns, I want to talk to Oz’s voter contact targeting team, because if my mailbox is any indication, they are absolute sh**t at targeting.  In no universe am I a persuadable Oz voter, and yet his campaign is burning the money that he does not have to send me mailers while ignoring persuadable Pubs?

Yeesh.  If it wasn’t for the fact that I want to see Fetterman in the Senate, I’d almost feel sorry for Team Oz.

Is your roommate voting for Fetterman or Shapiro? :eyes:

Nope.  Haven’t moved him that far on the spectrum, but it’s one vote less for Jersey/Trashtriano.

Anyway, in not stupid news like this thread has presented lately...

Fetterman is hosting an event with Malcolm Kenyatta on Saturday on Temple's campus--I'm really hoping I can finally meet Malcolm after voting for him in the primary Smiley

I hope you get a chance to!  He’s really sweet.

Heads up, Luzerne County is having serious issues with races not appearing on the ballot in some precincts, other precincts are running out of paper and had to put a hold on voting while they went to buy more.  Luzerne is always a sh**tshow, but this one’s gonna be especially ugly.

I have reports coming in now that the Luzerne County Chair successfully sued to keep Luzerne County polls open until 10pm to make up the lost time when precincts didn’t have paper to print ballots.

Unfortunately, there are also reports coming in that precincts are now running out of provisional ballots, as they were using them to allow people to vote while the machines were down.
