Kennedy is my Congressman, but I hope he doesn't do this. Markey is more progressive, so I support him.

Ugh. He's my rep, Kennedy is. So disappointed in him; if Warren is elected as President, he'll have that as an opportunity. Plus Markey's in his 70s and probably would retire in 2026; he could run then.

As someone who lives in Massachusetts (and in Kennedy's district, to boot), most people I know are voting for Kennedy. I myself will be voting for Kennedy too. Granted, his numbers are probably higher in the 4th district than they are statewide.

Now that Markey might not even make the primary ballot, it's probably going from Lean Kennedy to Likely Kennedy.

Markey has decided to take a diplomatic approach:

That was very kind of Markey to tweet that.

I requested my absentee ballot today, but put the wrong e-mail address on the form by mistake. I really hope I don't go to jail for that. (And yes, I did send another e-mail to the local elections office acknowledging my error).

I received my ballot in the mail today. Voted Kennedy for Senate and Mermell for House. We'll have to see what happens on September 1, but I think Markey is favored based on recent polling. I do think Kennedy can still win this, though.

I'll go with the Nate Silver rule, which is to assume you learn nothing during Election Day until the votes start being reported.

Now I wish I hadn't voted for him, even though Markey ended up winning.
