Vapid celebration of the objectification of women and the imposition of beauty standards on said half of humanity.

Such claptrap... as if women are obsessed with their appearance only because of men.  Far from the truth.  They are obsessed with their appearance because of other women.

Quit putting women on pedestals... they are just as flawed as you and me... and much of the suffering imposed on them that is often blamed on men is actually self imposed or imposed by other women.

Anyway I wish we lived in a society where the wealthy had more children and the desperately poor used abortion to limit their numbers.  Instead it is the other way round.  Not sure what is noble about a society of rich people who limit the number of children they have so they can indulge themselves and poor people who spit out hordes of children because ph-cking is their only entertainment and they don't give a rat's @$$ about the miserable future their children are going to have.

What's wrong with what he said?  He isn't advocating eugenics.  He merely stated he wished the family size/income ratio was reversed.

Surely this would be a good thing for children since they'd have financial stability.

But that's not going to happen.  So we should probably spend more money as a society on making sure poor children have their basic needs met and give them opportunities to make a better life for themselves than they were born into.

Uh, he nearly caused WWIII. He was a scumbag who philandered across Europe while my poor grandma lived off of a can of ravioli per day in her one room apartment shared with her mother and another family.

How is this absurd? It was during the depression, not his presidency, if that is where you need clarification.

No, I hate how progressives froth at the mouth over him though. The Kennedy's have been spitting on the poor since they left their ranks.

Don't get me wrong, I think rich people should do as they please with their wealth. I just don't think they should implement policies that target their own wealth, unless they themselves are willing to go full on St. Francis of Assisi.

So you resent him because he lived a life of privilege and then sought to make life better for average Americans... like your grandmother eating her ravioli among a crowd of her apartment mates....

To be quite honest, I don't want this guy giving money to the poor voluntarily.  Not with his attitude.  It should be taken, pried from his fingers, and distributed to the poor.  And those poor people should shop at Lowes or Menards.

You think the conclusion someone has come to from their own "lived-in" experience is "disgusting?" Those are strong words...

If they "chose" their sexuality, then I question their ability to have a sexuality at all.  That just screams "sociopath"...

Sociopaths often don't have a preference for either, thus making a "choice" much easier.  Choosing to be gay in such situations may be beneficial for whatever purposes they're working towards.

And I don't sympathize with sociopaths.

So again... yeah, it is disgusting.  If a "gay" guy says he "chose" it, cut that guy out of your life.  He's probably trying to take advantage of you or manipulate you somehow... as sociopaths are wont to do.

Good Icespear.  You're not a fan of drone strikes.  I'm not a fan of the death penalty.  I believe terrorist acts can be prevented in a better way than killing the terrorists.

I find it odd that you're willing to accept collateral damage from drone strikes, which promotes terrorist acts and anti-American sentiment more than anything else we do... yet you want blood when terrorist acts occur.

Maybe take some of your strong feelings abotu Tsarnaev dying and apply it towards anti-drone advocacy or something.
