What exactly are your demands? It's not clear to me at all what this strike hopes to achieve.

The GM takes this strike seriously, which is all that is needed

I agree with the demands of the union, too little work has been done on these fronts in a timely manner.

The GM has merely acknowledged that the ACLO voted to strike. It has not given word on whether this is being obeyed by unions.
And why do you seriously expect Congress and the President to care about half a dozen people saying a strike is happening after a tied vote. Not to mention why would a pretend strike change anyone's mind.
Because the President and congress acknowledge that both a strike is happening and that it has consequences in-game.

Seeing as there is great controversy in this strike, and a majority of members clearly do not support it, I would like to motion for a re-vote.
You need ~2 other members to trigger a referendum.

Alright, per the guidelines, the motion does exceed 10% of our current membership. All that is needed now is for Elcaspar and bagel to message all the current members through PMs and then speedily create an election template to start voting procedure.

Let it be known that we messaged the GM to withdraw the Medical Professional Union from striking as a matter of goodwill to begin debating the bill to end this strike. I view this action as premature given this news, and possibly damaging given harmful revisions that could water down the bill in question. I urge all members as my capacity as a concerned member of this union to vote Nay until after our demands are met after negotiations and work in the federal government.

I am joining, but abstaining from either opposing or supporting a referendum on this strike due to my only just having now joined.

Well then I guess you could abstain then in the actual referendum if you wanted then. Either way, I think the current strike, while worthwhile, definitely suffered from a lack of preparation and structural issues that should be fixed in a virtual National Assembly some time after this strike.

Nay, for the fact that this union was prepared to deescalate the strike as a gesture of goodwill until the draft bill’s passage. This action now is premature.

I will register for attendance

Also, the position for the various union heads and the Press Secretary are open I believe. In any case I’m running for the latter.

It’s up to the Chairs, but I personally would like a runoff election.

If no one starts mobilizing against the attack of union jobs in the service industry heralded by the likes of neolibs like Wulfric and S019, I will be immensely disappointed. Stopping this travesty is actually what this union grew upon.
