Academic plagiarism is just about the worst thing you can do at uni. We allowed far-right political marches; near-nude mud wrestling, and even beer bongs - only plagiarism would get you kicked out.
I'm not talking about what is allowed, but about what is actually often done. I'm sure also in Australia.
Yes, but anyone caught doing it is kicked out. And, at least in my experience in American universities, it's really not common beyond the occasional slight plagiarism (which this was a lot worse than).
