However, I think Biden would have been a different president 2009-17 than he is today. His tenure as vice president and Trump's subsquent elected certainly shaped his current tenure more than anything else. He still would have been an outstanding leader then and far more skilled than Obama when it comes to governing and foreign policy decisions.

I agree Biden would be different, and it's not coming from a dislike of Obama. I probably think more highly of him than others, but Obama was just too early.
