New England TD.

Okay, maybe this is a stupid question, but can one of you serious football geeks can explain to me why the penalty was declined when the Seattle player bumped into Gostkowski's leg, about the middle of the first quarter.  I was about halfway paying attention but it looked like a five-yard penalty was called.  Then it was declined.  I heard the color guy talking about how he thought it should be fifteen yards, but I guess I was sort of in the middle of a conversation with my wife about something or other and missed the gist of the comment.

Edit:  and I also voted for Seattle earlier today, but it was just a wild guess.

Another New England TD.  Really nice one by Gronkowski!

I just heard that Seattle leads the league in penalties.  I still don't understand all the flag rules.  They seem more complicated than the game itself.

The commercials are even more mystifying.  Now the Big Lebowski is chanting "om" over a body.  What the hell are they advertising?

Slavic names are very much in vogue tonight, it seems.

Whoa!  Wilson completed with a bullet to the endzone to tie it up for the half.  (Well, I took a piss after the play but I'm assuming that the extra point was goo.)  What a night, boys and girls.

PiT and Morden, thanks to both of you.  That makes sense.  The outcome was acceptable, as I recall, enough to make them want to keep it.

I also agree that the halftime show was entertaining.  I was really hoping for a wardrobe malfunction, but the glowing orbs, flaming stars, fireworks, urban outfitters, and loop earrings were very well done.  As for the beachballs and sharks, though, let's just agree never to speak of that.

Nice endzone catch by seattle receiver.  Just now it's looking good for Seattle.

Strange at the end.  It looked at first like Seahawk #15 fell to the ground before he caught it.  I'd have thought that it was incomplete.  Advantage:  Seattle.  Then, it was 2nd and goal at the end of the fourth quarter and there was an interception by a community college grad from Mississippi and New England gets a turnover.  Of course there was some very sportsmanlike conduct by seattle that cost them enough yards to lose the game.  All in all it was a very unpredictable one.

Congrats to the Patriots.
