It won't matter because Manchin and Sinema aren't going for reconciliation they want a bipartisan plan just like they said they aren't using reconciliation to pass 300 Unemployment benefits anymore

Don't D's know they can come back after 2022 and modify the Reconciliation, Bernie isn't seriously thinking with 30T in debt his 6T is gonna pass, probably after 2022 if we net 53 seats

Anyway if you are on Disability or SSA you can get Medicare usually at 40 yrs old qualified you for Disability

Also SSDI are gonna get 5.3% increase in Nov that's 100/150 payment increase instead of the 25/50 increase it all contributes to debt ceiling

The Rs aren't gonna raise taxes in a Pandemic either, DeSantis wants to cut Corporate taxes even further to 20%, that's why he will win in FL since there isn't any state income tax

The D's need 52 votes to abolish the Filibuster to raise Corporate TAXES

Good, raising the gas tax is a guaranteed way of losing in 2022. Democrat’s intentionally raising prices at the pump writes its own propaganda

Rs aren't raising taxes in a Covid Environment either

I bet some Atlas users take the train or the bus especially ones from Cali, IL and NY and the Ds don't even support raising gas taxes, it's a luxury to drive

If the D's don't get their taxes increases in the GREEN NEW DEAL, to hey can always come back in 2023 to change the infrastructure bill when they have more D's, definitely in the keep the H and Senate and have 52 or more votes in the Senate

It's a Reconciliation Bill not a Voter Rights Bill and the it certainly can be amended. Speed rails and change over to Electric vehicles will take about 10 yrs anyways, let's get this done without tax increases using Covid relief funds.

Passing no bill will damage the D's chances moreso than compromising with Rs because we have potholes on our streets and bridges we ride on them everyday

Then, it will damage their chances even moreso of Holding the House without a deal

Portman was absolutely right, compromise is the way to go and the Ds did the samething with stimulus, they compromised with Rs until they got more D's in Jan

As stated before, the D's can come back after they win in 2022 and should they have 52 seats and have the H can push thru their Green New Deal, anyways

As I said, the United States has a dysfunctional enough democracy to have multiple veto points that require supermajorities to pass any kind of significant legislation but a functional enough democracy that you can't just vandalize the homes of Manchin and Sinema to strongarm them into voting for killing the filibuster.

You know well as I know the D's used the Filibuster before, and the reason why it hasn't hurt R Prez like it does D's because Congress especially the House has been held by Rs 16/20 yrs

Obama had Congress only 2 yrs and had a Supermajority Senate Byrd, Landrieu and Pryor lobbied against getting rid of Legislative Filibuster when DC Statehood cane up in 2009/ but they didn't hold the H for very long, if they would of held the Trifecta passed 2010, more pressure would have been put on Senate to repeal Filibuster

Joe Manchin is a product of Robert C Byrd, and Jay Rockefeller, remember when 2005, Bill Frist wanted to Eliminate the Filibuster for Alito and Roberts because D's were threatening to block both of them, Jay Rockefeller, John McCain, Landrieu, Pryor, John Warner and Byrd came together and stopped the Rs from ERADICATING the Filibuster

Tom Udall had the proposal and Merkley, Harkin and Mark Udall said it's time to end the Filibuster and Mark Udall unfortunately, lost in 2014

D's really aren't that concerned about Voting Rights their priority is DC Statehood so that they can lock in a Supermajority Senate, we all know that, that's why Rs, even Romney and Collins aren't voting to Eliminate the Filibuster

The D's can make it more Green New Deal when they get more seats, Bernie said he going for the 6T Deal in 2023 if D's net the Trifecta again

FL is probably a lost cause due to DeSantis but OH, NC, AK, MO and IA aren't safe R and have blue collar D's running

I never intended to donate to Ds in FL due to DeSantis

Lol, we still don't have a VR bill and a Jan 6 the Commission, the reason why the Rs are in the Minority is because this is the Palin and Trump party not the Reagan, Bush or McCain party

Biden is not the most popular Prez, he advanced Clarence Thomas to the floor in a D Committee, LBJ is the best Prez ever for Thurgood Marshall that Clarence Thomas was appointed to, it's in my signature

The problem is, that we need a separate bill to address energy, not just drilling for oil which wrecks the Environment, Obama didn't do anything, all he did was open more drilling on the Continental Shelf, I remember that debate

As I said before neither Obama with Boehner or Trump put together a comprehensive Energy program.

All the reservoirs are drying up in Cali, and there wasn't any Covid until 2020 Covid and Global Warming are a direct effect of oil drilling

The D's want to spend 6T on Green New Deal and Rs want to spend 0 but on bridges and roads and drill for oil

That's why Rs are backing away, Obama was set to have bullet trains in 2014 what happened, Rs took control of SENATE

Why would Rs agree to a bipartisan infrastructure spending if there is gonna be a Reconciliation Bill later to raise taxes, is PELOSI serious about this.

Bernie wants the 6T infrastructure spending and raise taxes on the rich that's what he really want, Rs premise was to agree to not raise taxes in the first place, so much for your compromise

Warren and Bernie been after a wealth tax from the beginning, they ran for Prez and thought they were gonna get 60 in 2020 to pass this and due to Hunter Biden help seal the closely divided Congress we have now
Again, D's need more D's to pass that sort of bill

Just to provide some context to why Republicans are so angry with President Biden over explicitly calling for a two-track infrastructure deal, and are backing away from negotiations:

Republicans plot an infrastructure 2-step: Spend more, then kill Biden’s agenda

Quote
Senate Republicans are mulling support for a massive amount of new spending on infrastructure — in part because they think it’ll help kill President Joe Biden’s liberal agenda.

Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has yet to tip his hand on whether he supports the bipartisan negotiations on Biden's plan for roads and bridges that are being led by Sens. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) and Rob Portman (R-Ohio). But a growing number of Senate Republicans are betting that if a deal is reached on that sort of physical infrastructure, Democrats won’t have the votes needed to pass the rest of Biden’s “soft infrastructure” priorities, such as child care and clean energy.

This is from mid-June.  They only supported the compromise on the presumption that it would kill the rest of Biden's agenda.  Talk about being two-faced.....  Roll Eyes

So basically, they wanted to give Biden something so that the rest of his agenda wouldn't have the capital to move forward on.

Biden didn't do himself any good by not having a comprehensive immigration reform bill in agreement for the wall and an energy.policy first before an infrastructure bill that combines Green New Deal along with oil drilling, we haven't had one since Obama administration

We already have Amtrak that Biden gave money to, we don't necessarily need Bullet trains unless we are out of the Pandemic

The infrastructure helps our community let's not go overboard on this, Biden is stuck at 53 percent approvals because there is a need for another Stimulus check, the Child tax credit given out is only an advanced payment on their Child tax credit filed on their taxes

Everyone stimulus check have run out and we need a fourth stimulus check, of course he is gonna claim credit for this, but it doesn't fix Covid now on its 15 th month, I can see he is claiming credit that Covid is Eradicated, LOL, LOL it's an infrastructure deal not a stimulus check

Furthermore, Congress, I hope users know is using Covid Unemployment funds to fund the Infrastructure deal, Manchin and Tester were adament like Sinema was on the VR Filibuster bill, not to give anymore Stimulus checks due to the lack of individuals taking suitable work

I do want this infrastructure deal, but if it does go down to defeat, Congress will still have monies left over for another Stimulus check, they can pass 600 in advance of tax credit like last yr

Bernie said he will be very active in helping more D's get elected in 2022 and we can get rid of Sinema Filibuster once we get 53 seats, that's what's it's called now, since she was the one not Manchin willing to not Reform Filibuster

That's not true, if D's net the Trifecta again and add more seats, D's will Pursye a 6T how do other countries have better technology in Speed rail and nuclear power plants like Thailand, China and Japan do it, we need the 6T package and a fourth stimulus check, pursue a 5T and then a 6T with another 1000 stimulus check

But Rs can push thru 3T in Bush W tax cuts and War in Iraq borrow the money, if we were in WWII we would borrow the money, we are in a War on Climate change and Reagan created Global Warming with his oil riggers and Fracking

Good for him. I personally think that Democrats should run a campaign of infrastructure and stimulus checks for the midterms since both of those were popular and Republicans hate all of them.

Rs hate them but users on this site are getting stimulus checks

Unless we curb fracking as I outlined yesterday, and fracking is very important to keep PA, Casey is very pro fracking, the Brushfires are gonna wage out of control.

Biden and Harris need to Educate the public how safely they gonna curb fracking, it's gonna be curbed by a future Secular Congress and Prez anyways

BRISHFIRES in West are the same as they are now on par with Brushfires we had in Eastern Australia

All the storms are either going to Hawaii and Japan in Typhoon or the Gulf of Mexico

The Majority of American people want another stimulus check not just infrastructure spending after 1400 and 600 was passed in March Biden right track/wrong track number was 55/45 now it's 39/49% but his policies are extremely popular, that's why he is still at 51/49% Approvals, that tells you right there we need another stimulus I'm October not just for middle class getting advanced payments on EITC

That's a warning in today's poll if D's don't get a wave, they're doomed in the H, they know that that's why they are gonna spend a billion dollarson an unwinnable race in FL to keep D's in power in FL and DeSantis is gonna Redistrct FL to his electoral advantage

DeSantis is up 60/40% and he only barely won in 2018 due to running with Scott, this time he is running with popular Rubio up 60/40% D's are gonna keep the Senate win 278 Govs

The D's would get a boost if they include another 600 bonus and then a 1400 stimulus check, but Manchin like Sinema believes that we are rewarding unemployment, even if you get a job it's no guarentee that you are gonna stay on it and another 388K people just filed for unemployment.

If D's don't pass another stimulus check they're gonna lose the H anyways, we're in a Pandemic not a Recession and they need to realize that
The stimulus was only 1400 not 4K
