LOL

Interesting job to get canceled from over this.

Okay, that's actually really funny. Some much needed lightheartedness in this absolutely depressing situation.

Rally ‘round the flag (but not the government)

If there is one silver lining to all of this, maybe the country will finally be rid of Bibi and Likud. I guess the question would be how his successor, when he is finally gone, could salvage this situation. I don't envy them.

Hamas killed babies and Israel is blowing up babies in retaliation, everything sucks and I’m depressed. At the end of the day Palestine has a right to be a nation and how Israel treats them is abhorrent but anyone with a soul left can’t in good faith defend or justify what Hamas has done

This is where I'm at too. Everything sucks.

I must say that I'm very pleased I did not ever comment on the "hospital bombing" because it seems like every person who did just ended up looking like a fool.

And as far as the media's negligence in that goes...yikes.

Same, I stayed out of it until we knew the details, but I was very skeptical of Hamas' story nonetheless.

I must say that my interest in the conflict has significantly decreased, since it just appears to be a big, huge, insane, convoluted mess.

It's been that way for 75 years.

UN vote on a resolution demanding Israel to "withdraw from all occupied Syrian Golan to the line of June 4, 1967."

Fairly predictable and representative of the current world alignment on Israel-Hamas

The Pacific sure seems to support Israel.

So in that article, Rick Scott says everyone in Gaza deserves to die…

Again, you can have all the problems with Biden and Democrats on this issue you want, but it'll be worse if Republicans gain power over dissatisfaction with Democrats on this.

"Netanyahu has no chance, most Israelis are done with him."

I told you guys he'd pull ahead again if he wasn't ousted immediately after 10/7. This isn't a fixable country. Also you really have to live in some sort of bizarro upside down world to refer to the Israeli opposition as leftist but this is Caroline Glick after all.

I f***ing hate this world we live in where spite takes priority over common sense.

Channel 14 is a pro-Netanyahu outlier poll.

Okay, fair enough.

For f***'s sake! Hamas cannot be "destroyed."

All that's been literally destroyed (other than Gaza and the lives of its residents) is Israel's reputation.

If there is a deal, and all hostages are released, the priority should be rebuilding Gaza. Keep security around the border if necessary, but this needs to end.

Why can't Hamas be destroyed?

As said before, they're more of an idea, if anything. And there will probably always be a perpetual force in Palestine that wants to exterminate Jews and Israel, especially after this conflict.

Deeply shocking for you to suggest that exterminationist anti-semitism is an inbuilt and eternal character trait of Palestinians

That's not exactly what I meant, more so that there are extremists who will exploit and cultivate it whether they're Hamas or not. And vice-versa on the Israeli side wanting complete dominance of Palestine.
