Of course it is from a Judeo-Christian perspective.. it's the law of the land, which believers are ordered to respect as long as it does not violate the laws of the scriptures. Trying to draw a parellel to protecting Jews from Nazis is ludicrous, BRTD, as that is an infinitely more serious scenario.

Of course there are exceptions to be made for the ill, but that is the exception.

Note that I do not personally believe it's morally wrong.
