Ernest? I didn't realize he was a popular poster. He has been consistently awful for as long as I can remember.
I wouldn't say he's "popular," but he's certainly substantive and regularly interesting to read enough that he sticks out in many minds. I have been voting for him since the first round and since I've been a bit surprised at how widely appreciated his contributions are. He seems pretty low-key, so maybe I figured he'd been flying under the great poster radar. Perhaps that's part of the appeal. What about him is so awful to you?
