This is the Republican base we're dealing with here. How is anybody surprised? The level of unfamiliarity people in some parts of the country have with the GOP base is astounding. Some of you need to get out more.

Meaning me? My whole family are right wingers.. but mostly northerners. I am very aware of their paranoia, backwardness, and logical inconsistencies. However, this is the kind of crazy I thought was thought but not practiced in this day and age. It seems so.. illegal.
