Maybe they would be better if they were less arrogant and did a better job in showing themselves to be an alternative for the Remain. People aren't going to vote for CUK (or should I say, Change UK: The Independent Group and Remain Alliance for Change Now) just because, when they could vote for a far more successful and established party that has a largely similar pokicy on Brexit and has other policies to go with it, whether that other party is the Lib Dems, or in some cases the Greens, Plaid and SNP.

Tons of Brexit Party campaigners in Peterborough. This really is a test for them and Labour, for the Conservatives, it's trying to come out respectably.

Peterborough is a lovely city, I've been several times, but I'm honestly not sure what the result would be. I could predict who would win but that doesn't mean I'd actually make a good prediction. Personally I find by-elections far harder to predict.

Sounds like a Canadian riding.

This is like trump losing western Nebraska

Not really. It's more like Trump losing Southern Illinois - it's territory he should win, but it has different roots.

Scottish Parliament by-election to be held in Shetland, after the resignation of Tavish Scott (former leader of the Scottish LDs, MSP since the inception of the Parliament in 1999) to become head of external affairs for Scottish Rugby.

I'd be surprised if the Lib Dems didn't hold this. But Tavish Scott is a loss to them.
